All About Beth Hartford!

I have been quilting since 1984 - my son told his 3rd grade class (when the teacher asked what their parents do) that his Mom was an "nearly famous quilter". LOL! I belong to both Professional Art Quilt Quilters Alliance and Northern Lake County Quilters' Guild.

I have been a quilt teacher, but now have found my niche as a hand dyer and just love to work with color and fabric. I have shown my work in local quilt shows, but never in any major shows. I have also made 5 quilts (one each year) for my son's school fund raising auctions. The last one sold for an amazing $2300.00.

I am new to art quilting and have become a member of the Professional Art Quilters Alliance here in Illinois which has opened my eyes to a whole new world in quilting. My first art quilt (Sushi) will be included in a traveling show with PAQA. My second (Sundown) has been accepted and will travel with the Alzheimer's: Forgetting Piece by Piece traveling exhibit.
